Lucy Garrighan, CEO

Lucy Garrighan has over thirty years of experience operating and leading a corporation. When her family was personally affected by substance use and mental health issues, she changed paths to help others going through similar situations. Jade Wellness Center is a state-licensed outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center assisting those with substance use disorder into recovery. Journey Healthcare followed soon after and expanded into mental health treatment. As the leader of Journey, she strives to make mental health treatment more accessible and acceptable.

Victoria Matasy, MD

Dr. Matasy has been working as a fundamental team member with Journey since 2017.She Graduated from Medical College of Ohio at Toledo with her M.D.Dr. Matasy in her spare time enjoys bike riding, reading and cooking and spending time with her family and friends. After a long career in primary care she wanted to try something new. She found she has an infinity for the field of addiction and feels she is truly making a difference in people’s lives. 

Jamie Garrighan, Human Resource Associate/ Virtual Marketing Specialist

Jamie Garrighan is a recent graduate of Seton Hill University with a degree in business administration specialized in human resource management. Jamie has been working in healthcare for many years. She prides herself on treating all with kindness; she always refers to patients and colleges alike as “my friend.” Dealing with a family history of addiction and dual diagnosis from early childhood gives Jamie a more profound desire to help those suffering from mental health disorders.

Daniel Garrighan, CADC

As a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Director of Journey Healthcare Daniel Garrighan aims to provide client-centered healing through a cooperative care model that empowers individuals to embrace their journey through wellness and recovery. Daniel has been practicing in the recovery field since 2009. During this time, he developed and founded programs for state licensed treatment centers in Southwestern, Pennsylvania. “My career objective is to assist clients in identifying personal treatment goals and provide them the tools that can help meet these goals through integrative and eclectic behavioral health services.” Daniel has since broadened his treatment scope to focus not only on Substance Use Disorders but to offer treatment for Mental Health and Psychiatric disorders. Daniel enjoys skateboarding with his two children and writing children’s literature in his spare time.mHe is also very moved by the power of music and song composition.

Sandi Blystone, LPN

Sandi is the Nurse for Journey Health East and one of the foundational team members. She graduated from Indiana Vo-Tech Nursing School in 1989. She has been a nurse for thirty years, specializing in the field of Psychiatry and Addictions for twenty three of those years. When working with her patients she likes to think outside of the box, and has a passion for holistic and alternative ways of healing, not limited to Chinese medicine, Energy Healing, and Qi Gong. She believes that all patients need treated physically, mentally, and spiritually for the best possible care. Sandi enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, cooking, reading and being with those whom she loves.

Chris Rokicsak, Office Manager

Chris has been working as an administrator in behavioral health and addictions services for since 2011. She was one of the foundational team members at Journey East. Before that time, she and her family managed an 18 hole golf course for over 20 years! In her spare time, she enjoys music, reading, baking, hiking and spending time with her family and friends, most especially her four grandchildren. Chris is also an avid dog lover and has never met a dog she didn’t love.

Kate Mason, RN

Kate is the nurse and office manager at the Journey Healthcare Robinson office. She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 2020 and has experience in both skilled and transplant nursing. She is currently enrolled at Robert Morris University where she is working toward her Bachelor’s and Master’s of science degrees in nursing. She has been a proud member of the Jade Wellness Center/Journey Healthcare team since 2014. She believes in ethical and empathetic treatment and care for others, as well as CBT, EBT, and harm reduction. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, yoga, powerlifting, watching movies with her cats, music, and reading horror novels.  

Debra Stoll, LPC

Debra is a Counselor in Residence (PA licensure pending) who joined Journey Healthcare in September 2021.  Debra graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  She has since completed all required training and supervision hours and is awaiting final licensure.  Debra is a Nationally Certified Counselor, EMDR trained and proficient, and a Certified Expressive Arts Therapist. While working in inpatient, outpatient and community settings with dually diagnosed individuals, Debra developed a holistic, trauma-focused, and depth-oriented approach which embraces the client-centered perspective critical to meaningful therapeutic rapport.  Incorporating expressive arts therapy and EMDR into her practice, she addresses trauma-related disorders, PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.Debra believes embracing one’s ‘authentic self’ promotes successful and happy living. Outside of the office Debra enjoys exploring expressive arts practices, being outdoors, and spending time with family.

Chelsey Smail, PA-C

Chelsey is a Physician Assistant who had previously been working as a Hospitalist—deeply involved in medicine, when she became re-inspired by her true passion: the power of the mind and using exercise as medicine. She was one of the foundational team members at Journey East. Chelsey graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. From there, she taught a multitude of group fitness classes as well as worked one-on-one with clients in an effort to overcome their barriers and find enjoyment in movement while feeling overall healthier in mind, body, and soul. She further continued her education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Master’s degree to become a board certified Physician Assistant. She enjoys incorporating both of her backgrounds in exercise as well as medicine to give a well-rounded approach in care for mental health. She is determined to find the best individualized medication combination and encourages comprehensive treatment with natural remedies and behavior change to achieve the happiest and healthiest life. In Chelsey’s free time, she enjoys practicing what we preach with yoga, painting, trail running and kayaking.

Joann Chmielewski, CRNP

Joann has graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, with a Masters Degree and certified as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has 22 years of experience in diagnosis and treatment of most mental health disorders, including evidenced based therapies. She been engaged in community outreach, delivering mental health seminars for social and church based groups.

Gina Mangone, LPC

Gina is a Licensed Professional Counselor who joined Journey Healthcare in January 2020. Gina graduated from Duquesne University majoring in Psychology and Public Relations as an undergraduate. She graduated from Chatham University with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. She has since completed all required training and supervision hours to earn a license in professional counseling as well as earn credentialing as a Nationally Certified Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Her experiences span working at inpatient, outpatient and community settings treating addiction, mood disorders, anxiety and trauma disorders, grief/loss, psychotic disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders. Gina practices from a humanistic, strengths-based approach, using cognitive behavioral techniques to assist clients in looking at the development of current thought, emotion and behavior patterns that impact mental health, wellness, addiction and recovery. Outside of work, Gina enjoys cooking, music, travel, animals, being outdoors and spending time with her loved ones.
